Preschool (Ages 3-5) Story Time- Inspire your future reader at our preschool story time. Join us for exciting stories selected just for children ages 3-5 years old. Programs will be held in Youth Services program room on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 5th&6th; “Popcorn Poppin”

Tutoring for Teens at the Niceville Library with Mrs. Rachel Reese Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm. For more information or to sign up call the YS dept at 279-4683 x 1514.

Saturday Special—For parent and child ages 5 & up Make and take a Halloween craft in the YS program room from Noon-1:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22nd. Please sign up in YS or call 279-4863 x1514

Baby Bookworms - This lapsit program consists of music, stories and rhymes especially chosen to build the bond between you and your child. Program is suited for children from birth to age 3. Please meet in YS program room on 2nd & 4th Fridays each month. Prewalkers -9:30, Walkers up to age three-10:30. We will meet Oct. 14th and Oct. 28th.

American Girls History Mystery Book Club- This club for girls in 2nd-6th grade will meet the third Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. until noon in the YS program room. Registration is required as space is limited. Girls must sign up in YS for each meeting, check out the book or purchase your own copy, and finish the book before the meeting date. We will meet Oct. 15th and this month’s book selection is “Ghost Light on Graveyard Shoal” by Elizabeth McDavid Jones. Please call 279-4863 x1514.

After School Program - “Catch the Magic School Bus” each month in Youth Services! Children ages 6-12 years old meet the second Tuesday of each month from 4:15-5:30 in the program room. Every month the program will focus on a different Magic School Bus book and will include fun facts, hands-on activities, cool science and of course a Ms. Frizzle mystery or two. Children are encouraged to check out related books and are always welcome to share what they’ve read and learned along the way. Space is limited so registration is required. Our Oct. meeting is on the 11th when the Magic School Bus is “In the Time of the Dinosaurs”. Please call 279-4863 x1514.

Scrabble Anyone? @ Niceville Library – Do you enjoy playing Scrabble? If so, here’s a great opportunity to have fun, meet new people and play some Scrabble, as the small conference room at the Niceville Public Library will be set up with Scrabble boards for the adult community to play and enjoy on Wednesday, October 5 & 19 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Please keep in mind that you don’t have to be an expert to participate and all skill levels are welcome.
